Peaceful Thicket.

Peaceful Thicket by artist Dom Lyner, aka Llyn.el, was designed in collaboration with youth at Jardel Recreation Center. This vibrant mural that scales a large mandala design with forest imagery onto a 12x19 foot wall at the Rec Center. Reeling the viewer in with the bright, solid colors and crisp lines, this mural intends to emulate a calming aura in the neighborhood. Inspired by the gardening work done at the recreation center, the red roses in this mural were designed and added by the participating students. It was painted with assistance from students in 2023's Summer Philadelphia Youth Network program, as well as youth at the Jardel Recreation Center.
